Crushers

Heavy-duty clutches and brakes are found on all types of crushers
including jaw and cone styles.

Automatic engagement and disengagement

Delayed engagement produces a “no load start”

No slippage at full running speed

Controlled soft-start acceleration

100% efficient at rated speed

Standard, spring control, and deep pocket models

Protection against shock loads during start-up

90°, non-intersecting shaft applications

Smooth, quiet performance

Provide high-ratio speed reduction in minimal spaces

Efficiency is easily increased by lowering ratios

With some ratios, there is resistance to back driving

Ideal for ball and SAG mill applications

Extra thick friction discs provide long life

High torque, low inertia design

Quick, simple installation

Low stress spined hub

Available with taper bore

Multiport air inlets available

Fully-crowned gear teeth
provide maximum contact at the strongest part of the tooth.

Models available for use on
vertical and/or horizontal
shafts

Bore capacity up to 510 mm

High torque to weight ratio

Half per half
interchangeability

The G-Flex Series is an all-metal coupling that provides positive protection against the damaging effects of shock loads and vibration. Aluminum horizontal cover (T10), and all-steel vertical cover (T20) designs are available. G-Flex tapered grid couplings are an excellent choice where torsional flexibility/vibration damping are primary concerns.

Easy to assemble / replace

Part-for-part interchangeable with industry standard tapered grid coupling designs

Coupling sizes 1020 through 1140 in-stock in a range of standard bore sizes

Shot-peened tapered grid flex element for long life

TB Wood’s offers a full line of sheaves and drives to meet your specific application requirements.

Conventional V-Belt drives

Narrow drives (Ultra-V)

Light-duty drives (FHP)

Synchronous Plus drives

QT Power Chain® synchronous belt drives

GC Series couplings feature unitized, straight-sided flexible discs for ease of installation.
Up-to-date design targeted specifically for heavy industrial applications. These couplings provide increased torque capacity per size by taking advantage of the latest materials and design technologies.

Unitized Flex Packs

Easier, faster installation

Interchangeable with industry standard designs

Fewer sizes to cover a full range of applications

Reduced spare parts inventory

Lower total cost of ownership

Special designs avaiable for higher-torque applications

Form-Flex metal disc couplings consist of two hubs, a spacer and two high strength carbon or stainless steel flexible discs. Modified and special designs are commonly supplied to meet specific application conditions. Available in carbon steel, stainless steel or with corrosion resistant coatings.

No maintenance

Zero backlash

Close couple, spacer and floating shaft designs available

Easy interchangeability

For high cyclic and general clutching duties. Specially designed for end-shaft mounting onto a bearing supported flywheel or gear wheel.

Start/Stop parts have a low inertia which:

  - Reduces acceleration times and allows more cycles per minute

  - Reduces heat generated

Air applied clutch with full circle friction discs

Extremely fast response

Available in 1,2,3 or 4 plate designs to suit torque, heat, response and space requirements.

Air connection via rotary union/seal/coupling mounted directly into front of clutch for fastest response time. For dry use only.

Wichita's Air PTO is powered by our heavy-duty Standard Vent clutch. With large friction areas for high energy starts and an air actuated clutch for remote or automatic control of the PTO.
The air actuated PTO is ideal for your application because:

The bearing supported shaft eliminates sideload on the crankshaft

The high speed airtube not affected by centrifugal force

There are no o-rings or diaphragms to wear out

14" and 18" 1, 2 & 3 plate clutches available

Wichita's mechanical PTO's are powered by Eaton's Solo™ mechanical 2-plate clutch. Built-in damping springs on the clutch; driven discs and no pilot bearing are some of the standard features that make Wichita's mechanical PTO user friendly when applied in the harsh environment of diesel engines.

Highlights of Wichita's mechanical PTO are:

Adjustment free feature automatically adjusts the clutch

In-line and side-load bearing carriers

30 Lb. handle pull to engage clutch

Pressure applied or electromagnetically applied torque limiting clutches with integral, double bearing supported pilot mount.
  • Overload protection
  • Adjustable torque limit setting
  • Trip plate supplied as part of clutch
  • Axial loads contained within unit
  • Single position engagement
  • Imperial and metric sizes available
